Statement of Faith

  • WORD OF GOD

We believe the Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, to be the fully inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God. It is the complete revelation of God’s will for salvation, and is the final and supreme authority for all matters of life, faith and practice.

  • TRINITY

We believe there is one true and living God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit -- who are equal in every divine perfection, and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption.

  • CHURCH

We believe the church is the living spiritual body of Christ which Jesus is the Head and is comprised of all regenerated persons through saving faith in Jesus Christ. We believe this body expresses itself in local assemblies whose members have voluntarily united together for the purposes of glorifying God through praise, instruction of the Word, discipleship, fellowship, evangelism and ministry. We believe God has commanded the local church the primary task to be His witness by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world, to all people groups, baptizing and teaching them to observe all the words and ways of Christ Jesus our Lord.

  • GOD

We believe God the Father, as Creator of heaven and earth, is living, eternal, infinite, unchanging, and personal. God is perfect in love, wisdom, power, and holiness. We believe that God infallibly foreknows all that shall come to pass, that God mercifully cares about the affairs of men, that God hears and answers prayer, and that God saves from sin and death all who come to Him through faith in Jesus Christ.

  • JESUS CHRIST

We believe Jesus Christ is God's eternal and only begotten Son who possesses the same nature, attributes and perfections as God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. While on earth Jesus was fully God and became in every respect a true man, possessing all the essential characteristics of human nature. We believe in Jesus’ sinless life, His death on the cross for our sins, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, His priestly intercession for His people, and in His return from heaven in power and glory to gather the faithful and reign eternally.

  • HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit, who is co-equal and co-eternal with God, came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ to be His witnesses to the ends of the earth. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, sealing forever those who have been born again through faith in Jesus Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher and guide. The Holy Spirit leads us to the understanding of all spiritual truth, gives gifts for the building up of the body of Christ, and is our source of power for Christian life, ministry, and spiritual growth.

  • SIN

We believe God created man, male and female, in the image of God and free from sin. Due to the fall of Adam, every person is born in sin, and therefore, is a sinner by nature, incurring physical, spiritual and eternal death, which is separation from God, having nothing whereby he might justify himself before God. Sin affects every aspect of our being: mind, will and affections. Apart from God’s grace, fallen man is utterly incapable of reconciliation to God.

  • SALVATION

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, to the glory of God alone. Our reconciliation to God can only be accomplished when, regenerated by the Holy Spirit, we confess and repent of our sins, and accept and trust Jesus Christ as God’s offering of forgiveness for our sins. This instantaneous free gift of salvation and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is given by the grace of God through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ. Once redeemed, we have become new creatures, spiritually born again, children of God, delivered from condemnation, and recipients of eternal life; we are forgiven of all our sins and kept by God whereby nothing in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  • ORDINANCES

We believe Jesus Christ has given two ordinances to the local church: baptism and communion. We believe Christian baptism is the immersion of the believer in water into the name of the triune God. We believe communion was instituted by Jesus for commemoration of His death. We believe these two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of Jesus Christ, and that neither of these are a means of salvation.

  • LAST THINGS

We believe in the personal, physical and visible return of Jesus Christ to earth to establish His kingdom, a new heaven and a new earth. We believe in the resurrection of the body, both believer and unbeliever, whereby believers shall receive eternal fellowship with God in heaven, and unbelievers shall be judged and sent away to spend eternity separated from God suffering in hell.
